The remote control for the car must be programmed (coded) for that particular car.

On delivery of the car, 2 ready-programmed remote control units are supplied. 2 further remote controls (total 4) can also be obtained with the car. They are programmed using the diagnostic tool.

The number of programmed remote controls can be checked by pressing the TRUNK button on the remote control when the ignition key is turned to ON. The SID unit display normally shows 2 REMOTE KEY for 5 seconds. The number of key transponders is also shown, e.g. 2 TRANSPDR.
