Air Temperature Sensor ( Ambient / Intake ): Service and Repair
To remove
1 Remove the rubber cap and unplug the connector.
2 Remove the sensor.
To fit
1 Check the sealing washer and fit a new one if necessary.
Apply Vaseline (part no.30 20 271) or equivalent to the sensor threads. Fit the sensor.
Tightening torque 7 Nm (5 lbf ft)
2 Spray the connector with Kontakt 61 (part no.30 04 520). Plug in the connector.
3 Fit the rubber cap.
