Spark Plug: Service and Repair
Spark plugs
To remove
1 Unplug the ignition discharge module's 10-pin connector.
2 Remove the ignition discharge module's 4 screws.
3 Remove the spark plugs.
To fit
Check that the spark plug gap is 1.0-1.1 mm.
Fit in reverse order.
Coat the spark plug threads with Molykote 1000 (part No. 30 20 271) or the equivalent.
Coat the rubber seals with Krytox (part No. 30 19 312).
Tightening torques
Spark plug 28 Nm (21 lbf ft)
Ignition discharge module 11 Nm (6.1 lbf ft)
