Component Tests and General Diagnostics

Perform the following procedure to confirm speed control system is operating correctly.
1. Test drive vehicle at 40 km/h (25 mph) or more, ensuring speed controls operate with switch in On position.
2. Depress set/coast switch for a minimum of 100 millisecond to engage speed controls.
3. Release accelerator pedal, ensuring car maintains speed.
4. Depress brake or clutch to disengage system, ensuring vehicle decelerates.
5. Depress resume/accelerate switch for at least 100 millisecond, vehicle should resume original speed.
6. Depress resume/accelerate switch for a minimum of 1.5 to 4.5 seconds. The car should increase speed by 2 km/h (1 mph).
7. Depress the set/coast switch for 1.5 to 4.5 seconds. The car should slow down until you press the accelerator yourself.
8. Turn speed control on/off switch to off position, vehicle should decelerate.
9. If all the above is operating correctly, then you have confirmed that the system is functional.
