1. Remove steering wheel. Refer to, Steering Wheel/Service and Repair., then remove Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) coil assembly as described under Air Bags and Seat Belts/Air Bags/Clockspring Assembly/Service and Repair. Steering Wheel Clockspring Assembly / Spiral Cable
2. Remove Connector Position Assurance (CPA) device, then disconnect electrical connectors from multi-function switch, Fig. 3.
3. Slide multi-function switch assembly off steering shaft.
4. Reverse procedure to install. Note SIR coil installation precautions included in Passive Restraints section.
