Sunroof / Moonroof Module: Service and Repair





SUNROOF MODULE ASSEMBLY - SEDAN AND COUPE

REMOVAL

1. Remove headliner as outlined in "Headliner Removal" procedure in this section.






2. Remove map lamp base assembly from roof console assembly and disconnect wire connector to sunroof switch.






3. Disconnect sunroof wiring along right side of sunroof module to center pillar location.






4. Disconnect four sunroof drain hoses from sunroof module.

5. Remove fasteners from sunroof module and remove sunroof module.

INSTALLATION

1. With sunroof glass installed, install sunroof module positioning sunroof glass in sunroof opening allowing sunroof glass to determine fore/aft and side-to-side alignment of sunroof module.






2. Install sunroof module fasteners.

Torque: 14 Nm (124 in-lbs)






3. Connect four sunroof drain hoses to sunroof module. Make sure hoses are not kinked.

4. On Coupe, connect body wiring harness to sunroof relay box harness and install CPA device.






5. Connect sunroof wiring harness connector to sunroof switch in map lamp on roof console assembly base and install map lamp base.

6. Install headliner as outlined in "Headliner Installation" procedure.

7. Adjust sunroof glass to 1 mm (0.040 in.) below roof surface at front and 1 mm (0.040 in.) above roof surface at rear by loosening sunroof glass attaching screws and moving sunroof glass.
