Electrical Circuit Schematics

The circuit schematics show the circuits and components that are covered in that particular system. By eliminating circuits and components not related to the system being covered. the circuit schematics are greatly simplified.

Circuit schematics provide a description of how a circuit is provided voltage, what the current path is to the components, and how the circuit is grounded.

Each wiring schematic is identified by circuit number, size (in Sq.mm) and colour. Wire colours are shown in the abbreviated form.

The schematic legend explains what is shown on the electrical schematic.

It is important to realize that no attempt is made to represent components, and wiring as they physically appear on the vehicle. For example, a 4-foot length of wire is treated no differently in a schematic from one which is a few inches long.
