Installation

1. Install the new park lock cable.
2. Route cable around HVAC module fin.





3. Route cable through accelerator pedal bracket retainer clip.





4. Install park lock cable fitting end to control base assembly. Be sure to seat fitting completely.
5. Attach park lock cable end terminal to plastic lock-out lever on the control assembly.





6. Snap park lock cable assembly onto ignition module.





7. Install lower column cover, top column cover, and ignition cylinder. Install five fasteners.

IMPORTANT: The ignition key must be in the ACC position when installing the ignition cylinder into the ignition module.

8. Adjust the park lock cable assembly. (Refer to "Park Lock Cable Assembly Adjustment" procedure.)
9. Install console. (Refer to "Console Installation" procedure.)
10. Enable the SIR system. (Refer to "Enabling the SIR System".)
