IMPORTANT: Before proceeding:
^ If there are aftermarket components installed or in use in vehicle that may be causing complaint, refer to Chart 13, "Radio Noise Entering Through Radio (Sideway Noise)" then return to this chart. Chart 13 - Radio Noise Entering Through Radio (Sideway Noise)
^ If noise is in conjunction with poor reception, go to Chart 11, "Poor Reception." Chart 11 - Poor Reception
^ To distinguish between noise or poor reception, perform the "System Performance Check - Noise or Poor Reception" found in this manual.
^ If noise is only present when a switch is activated, refer to Chart 20, "Switch Pop or Accessory Noise" before proceeding. Chart 20 - Switch Pop or Accessory Noise
^ Check for any technical service bulletins on radio noise.
