Location
The steering angle sensor is located on the steering column behind the steering wheel.

Task
The steering angle sensor records the steering angle, the steering direction as well as the steering speed over a measuring range of 720°.

This information is conveyed to the ESP control unit via the Controller Area Network (data bus/CAN bus)N47-5) and to the power steering control unit (N68) (with code (V26) EPS power steering (FFO)).
