Heat Shield: Service and Repair

HEAT SHIELD COVER

Heat Shield Cover:

REMOVAL

1. FRONT HEAT SHIELD COVER
1. Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
2. Disconnect the connector from the oxygen (A/F) sensor. (Gasoline engine model only)


3. Remove the exhaust pipe.
4. Remove the four bolts to remove the front heat shield cover.







2. CENTER HEAT SHIELD COVER
1. Remove the rear exhaust pipe.

2. Remove the propeller shaft. (Turbo model only).
3. Remove the bolt (A), nuts (B), and clip (C), and remove the center heat shield cover.










3. REAR HEAT SHIELD COVER
1. Remove the muffler.

2. Remove the bolts and rear heat shield cover.







INSTALLATION
Install in the reverse order of removal.

Tightening torque: Refer to "COMPONENT" of "General Description".
