Tightening Specifications

Cylinder Head Bolts
Please refer to Cylinder Head Removal and Replacement for bolt tightening specifications and procedures. Service and Repair

Intake Manifold Bolts 8.25 N.m (0.8 kgf-m, 6.1 ft-lb)

Camshaft Bearing Cap Bolts
Gradually tighten the camshaft cap in at least two steps, in alphabetical order shown in the figure, and then tighten to the specified torque.





Crankshaft Main Bearing Cap Bolts
Please refer to Cylinder Block Removal and Replacement for bolt tightening specifications and procedures. Service and Repair

Connecting Rod Bolts 52 N.m (5.3 kgf-m, 38.4 ft-lb)

Crank Pulley Bolts
First pass 47 N.m (4.8 kgf-m, 34.7 ft-lb)
Final pass Tighten 60° ± 5°

Oil Pump Bolts 6.4 N.m (0.7 kgf-m, 4.7 ft-lb)
Apply liquid gasket to the three bolts thread shown in figure (when reusing bolts)





Exhaust Manifold to Cylinder Head Nuts 40 N.m (4.1 kgf-m, 29.5 ft-lb)
