Idle Speed/Throttle Actuator - Electronic: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect negative cable at battery.
2. Drain cooling system.

WARNING: To help avoid danger of being burned, do not remove radiator cap, drain plug, coolant hoses etc. while engine and radiator are still hot. Scalding fluid and steam can be blown out under pressure if cap, plug, hose, etc. is taken off too soon.





3. Remove throttle body. (Refer to Throttle Body / Service and Repair.)
4. Remove Idle Air Control (IAC) valve from throttle body.

Installation
For installation, reverse removal procedure and note following precautions.





- Use new gasket (throttle body) and O-ring (IAC valve).
- Tighten IAC valve screws to specified torque.

Tightening Torque: (a): 3.4 Nm (2.5 lb ft)

- Refill cooling system. Adjust accelerator cable play to specification.
