Manuals through 2025 now available!

Our trusted friends have launched a new website named LEMON, which has newer manuals. It also contains all the CHARM manuals.

Ignition Control Module: Testing and Inspection

Before this check, prepare 2 new 1.5V batteries and an analog type ohmmeter.

1. Remove power unit from its bracket.

2. Arrange 2 new 1.5V batteries in series (check that total voltage is about 3.0 V). Connect positive terminal of ohmmeter to "G" terminal of power unit and negative terminal to "0C" terminal. Check continuity between "G" and "0C" terminals with about 3V voltage applied to its "IB" terminal and also none applied.

No voltage applied to "IB" terminal: No continuity (infinity)
Voltage applied to "IB" terminal: Continuity

If check result is not satisfactory, replace power unit.
3. Install power unit.
