HO2S-2 Without WU-TWC

Removal

WARNING: To avoid danger of being burned, do not touch exhaust system when system is hot. Oxygen sensor removal should be performed when system is cool.

1. Disconnect negative cable from battery.
2. Remove driver's seat referring to "Front Seat Removal and Installation: ", if necessary.
3. Remove front left side sill scuff and turn over floor carpet, if necessary.
4. Disconnect connector (1) of HO2S-2 (without WU-TWC) (2).
5. Hoist vehicle.
6. Remove HO2S-2 (2) from exhaust pipe.

CAUTION: Be careful not to expose it to excessive shock. It may cause damage to sensor inside.




Installation
Reverse removal procedure noting the followings.
- Tighten HO2S-2 (without WU-TWC) (2) to specified torque.

Tightening torque
HO2S-2 (without WU-TWC) (a): 45 N.m (4.5 kg-m, 32.5 lb-ft)

- Fit harness grommet to floor securely and connect connector securely.
- After installing HO2S-2 (without WU-TWC) (2), start engine and check that no exhaust gas leakage exists.
