Transmission Temperature Sensor/Switch: Testing and Inspection

CVT Fluid Temperature Sensor On-Vehicle Inspection

1) Disconnect negative (-) cable at battery.
2) Disconnect connector (1) from solenoid harness.
3) Check for proper terminal connection to solenoid harness connector.
4) Check resistance of CVT fluid temperature sensor and its circuit between terminals "20" and "22" at connector of solenoid harness.

If faulty condition is found, replace valve body assembly.

CVT fluid temperature sensor resistance:
20 °C (68 °F): Approx. 6.5 kohms
80 °C (176 °F): Approx. 0.9 kohms
