Immobilizer Control System Self-Diagnosis Function

ECM and keyless start control module monitor each of the input and output signals of the immobilizer system, and they are equipped with a self-diagnosis function which displays DTC when an abnormality is detected.

Also, when an abnormality is detected, immobilizer indicator light flashes on and off or comes on to warn the driver.

Conditions vary depending on the details of the abnormality, but the basic lighting patterns indicate the following

- Light on: Engine can be started
- Flashing: Engine cannot be started
