DOOR LOCK: REAR DOOR LOCK: REMOVAL
HINT
* Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.
* The following procedure is for the LH side.
1. PRECAUTION
NOTICE:
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work Service Precautions.
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.
3. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG Disassembly
4. REMOVE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH REAR DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL Disassembly
5. REMOVE REAR ARMREST ASSEMBLY Disassembly
6. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY Disassembly
7. REMOVE REAR DOOR INNER GLASS WEATHERSTRIP Disassembly
8. REMOVE REAR DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER Disassembly
9. DISCONNECT REAR DOOR WEATHERSTRIP Removal
10. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS RUN Disassembly
11. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOWER WINDOW FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY Disassembly
12. REMOVE REAR DOOR QUARTER WINDOW GLASS Disassembly
13. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY Disassembly
14. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY
(a) Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 3 screws.

(b) Move the rear door lock with motor assembly downward and pull the release plate out of the rear door outside handle frame.
(c) When reusing the rear door lock with motor assembly.
(1) Remove the door lock wiring harness seal from the rear door lock with motor assembly.
