Installation

INTERIOR PANELS / TRIM: UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL ASSEMBLY

(a) When using a new upper instrument panel sub-assembly:

(1) Immediately before installing the upper instrument panel assembly, twist and cut off the portion shown in the illustration.





(b) Engage the 5 claws (B) as shown in the illustration.





(c) Engage the 7 claws (A) as shown in the illustration.

NOTICE:
* Do not damage the upper instrument panel assembly.
* Do not allow the wire harnesses to interfere with the surrounding parts.

(d) Install the 2 bolts [A].

(e) Install the 2 passenger airbag bolts [B]

Torque : 20 Nm (204 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf)

(f) Connect the connector to install the upper instrument panel assembly.

2. CONNECT NO. 3 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE Installation

3. INSTALL NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET (w/ Manual (SOS) Switch) Installation

4. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) w/ Manual (SOS) Switch:

(1) Engage the 3 clamps.

(b) Engage the 3 guide and 2 clips.

(c) Install the instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly with the 2 screws [D] and 3 clips.

5. INSTALL NO. 2 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Engage the 2 guides as shown in the illustration.





(b) Install the No. 2 heater to register duct sub-assembly with the 2 clips.

6. INSTALL LOWER CENTER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Engage the 2 claws to install the lower center instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.





7. INSTALL CENTER INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY

(a) Engage the 8 claws to install the center instrument panel register assembly.

8. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side Installation.

9. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Engage the 2 guides and 5 claws to install the No. 2 instrument panel speaker panel sub-assembly.





10. INSTALL LOWER FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH

(a) Engage the 3 claws to install the lower front pillar garnish RH.





11. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH

HINT
Use the same procedure as for the LH side Installation

12. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH

(a) Engage the guide as shown in the illustration.





(b) Engage the guide and 6 claws to install the instrument panel finish panel end RH as shown in the illustration.





13. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH Installation

14. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL CUP HOLDER

(a) Install the instrument panel cup holder with the 2 screws [E].

15. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY

(a) Engage the 6 claws.





(b) Install the No. 2 instrument panel register assembly with the screw [C].

16. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL BOX ASSEMBLY

(a) Open the instrument panel box and glove compartment door.

(b) Engage the 8 claws to install the instrument panel box assembly.





(c) Close the instrument panel box and glove compartment door.

17. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY Installation

18. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Engage the 2 guides and 5 claws to install the No. 1 instrument panel speaker panel sub-assembly.





19. INSTALL LOWER FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH

(a) Engage the 3 claws to install the lower front pillar garnish LH.





20. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH Installation

21. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH

(a) Engage the guide as shown in the illustration.





(b) Engage the guide and 6 claws to install the instrument panel finish panel end LH as shown in the illustration.





22. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH Installation

23. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY

(a) Engage the 6 claws to install the No. 1 instrument panel register assembly.





24. INSTALL UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Engage the 8 claws to install the upper instrument panel finish panel sub-assembly.





25. INSTALL LOWER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY

(a) Engage each connector.

(b) Engage each clamp.

(c) Engage the 9 claws to install the lower instrument panel finish panel assembly.

26. INSTALL UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL

(a) Engage the 2 claws and clip to install the upper instrument panel finish panel.

27. INSTALL INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL

(a) Engage each connector.

(b) Engage the 8 claws to install the integration control and panel.

28. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization
