DOOR LOCK: REAR DOOR LOCK: REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION

NOTICE:
After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work Service Precautions.

2. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY Removal

3. REMOVE NO. 1 DECK BOARD Removal

4. REMOVE NO. 2 DECK BOARD Removal

5. REMOVE REAR DECK FLOOR BOX Removal

6. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX RH Removal

7. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

8. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG Disassembly

9. REMOVE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH REAR DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL Disassembly

10. REMOVE REAR DOOR ARMREST COVER Disassembly

11. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY Disassembly

12. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BRACKET Disassembly

13. REMOVE REAR DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER Disassembly

14. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS RUN Disassembly

15. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW GUIDE SUB-ASSEMBLY Disassembly

16. DISCONNECT REAR DOOR WEATHERSTRIP

(a) Separate the rear door weatherstrip to the extent that the 2 installation screws of the rear door rear guide seal can be removed.





17. REMOVE REAR DOOR REAR GUIDE SEAL Disassembly

18. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY Disassembly

19. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK WITH MOTOR ASSEMBLY

(a) Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 3 screws.

(b) Move the rear door lock with motor assembly downward and pull the release plate out of the rear door outside handle frame.

(c) When reusing the rear door lock with motor assembly:





(1) Remove the door lock wiring harness seal from the rear door lock with motor assembly.

(d) Using a screwdriver, disengage the claw.





(e) Remove the rear door lock remote control cable assembly from the rear door lock with motor assembly.





(f) Using a screwdriver, disengage the 3 claws.





(g) Remove the rear door inside locking cable assembly from the rear door lock with motor assembly.
