VAG 1598 TEST BOX, CONNECTING
- Switch OFF ignition.
- Connect VAG 1598 Test Box to Engine Control Module (ECM) 3 and ECM harness connector 2 using adaptor cable 1.

VEHICLES WITH AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION
NOTE: If the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) "No signal from automatic transmission" is stored in the Transmission Control Module (J 217) due to electrical testing, it must be erased after testing.

- Switch Fluke 83 multimeter to 20 Volt range.
