Throttle Full Close Switch: Adjustments
CHECKING AND ADJUSTING CLOSED THROTTLE POSITION SWITCHTest Conditions
^ Throttle basic setting OK.
^ Closed Throttle Position switch mounting screws loosened.
^ Throttle body stop lever in contact with limiting screw.
Checking Function
- Perform electrical check. Refer to Diagnostic Charts / VAG 1598 Pin Out Box / Electrical Checks / Test Step 16. Testing and Inspection
Adjusting
- Lightly tighten mounting screws -1-.
- Press throttle lever -2- and switch -3- tightly together -arrows-.
- Tighten mounting screws -1-.
- Open throttle.
NOTE: Closed Throttle Position switch must be heard to click.
