Access/Start Authorization Antenna 1 in Vehicle Interior (R138)

The access/start authorization antenna 1 in vehicle interior is installed under the front center console, in front of the selector lever.

• No coding, basic setting or adaptation is necessary if access/start authorization antenna 1 in vehicle interior is replaced. Erase the resulting entry in the DTC memory using Vehicle Diagnostic, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051B).


• Turn off the ignition and all electrical consumers.

• Remove the key.

Removal

- Remove the button strip inside the center console storage compartment. Refer to => [ Buttons in the Center Console Storage Compartment ] Buttons in the Center Console Storage Compartment.

- Remove the access/start authorization antenna 1 in vehicle interior (R138) - 1 - - arrow -. Pay attention to the wires still connected.






- Disconnect the connector - 2 -. Remove the access/start authorization antenna 1 in vehicle interior - 1 -.

Installation

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.

• It is not possible to remove the bracket for the access/start authorization antenna 1 in vehicle interior in the center console without breaking it. If the antenna bracket must be removed, then install a new bracket so that there will not be any rattling noises and the KESSY system will continue to work correctly.
