Towing Recognition Control Module (J345)

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Torque Wrench (V.A.G 1783)

Removing:

- Switch ignition and all electrical consumers off and disengage the key or ignition switch in position 0 (ignition off).

- Remove left side panel trim in luggage compartment.

- Disengage connectors - 2 - and disconnect them from Towing Recognition Control Module.





• The number of connectors on the towing recognition control module can deviate from the illustration depending on the vehicle equipment.

- Remove mounting bolts - 1 - and remove towing recognition control module with bracket out of vehicle.

- Remove mounting bolts - arrows - and remove towing recognition control module from bracket.





Installing:

Install in reverse order of removal, noting the following:

• After installing a new towing recognition control module, it must be coded, refer to => [ Towing Recognition Control Module, Coding ] Programming and Relearning.
