Basic Alarm Functions: Overview

Car doors
The car doors are protected by standard door contacts.

Hood
The hood is protected by a contact next to the left hand catch.

Trunk
The trunk is protected by the catch.

Start inhibitor
The start inhibitor prevents the engine being started after the alarm has been triggered, e.g. by hot-wiring.

Alarm
Alarm is given either by means of the car's turn signals and separate horn, or by means of a siren with battery back-up.

Indication
Indication is given by means of an LED for activated, deactivated and triggered alarm, as also for any fault in the sensor loop.
