Cruise Control: Service and Repair






Repair of vacuum pipe

Remove




- Intake air pipe.
- Battery.
Loosen air cleaner box and push to one side.

Remove vacuum hose




Remove 2 battery shelf screws (A) and pull battery shelf out through the cowl side.
Remove the cruise control vacuum hose from the vacuum pump. Remove and save the angled connection (B).
Cut the black vacuum hose (C) located under the air cleaner box at the spring strut, discard the place of hose.

Note! Be careful and cut the vacuum hose, not the hood lock wire.

Install new hose kit




Transfer connector (B) to hose kit.
Push the connection at least 5 mm (3/16") into the protective hose (D).
Install hose kit between the vacuum pump and the cut hose.
Connect the hoses with connector hose (C) from kit.
Reinstall battery shelf and tighten screws (A).

Reinstall




- Air cleaner box.
- Battery.
- Intake air pipe.
- Enter radio code if anti-theft coded radio installed.
