Condition




- The fault is permanent.
- The control module must be correctly connected.
- Use the correct memory cassette for the Volvo Scan Tool (ST).

Possible source
- Low battery voltage.
- Open-circuit, short-circuit to ground or short-circuit to supply in the data link connector (DLC) cable.
- Open-circuit in data link connector (DLC) power supply, power ground or signal ground.
- Defective Volvo Scan Tool (ST), Volvo Scan Tool (ST) adapter or wiring.

Note! If the communication problem only occurs when the car is stationary with the ignition on or when the engine is being started (engine not running), connect a battery charger or extra battery.
