Note! Check that the correct memory cassette is being used in the Volvo Scan Tool (ST) before commencing fault-tracing.

Possible source
- Open-circuit, short-circuit to ground or short-circuit to supply voltage in the cable for the data link connector (DLC).
- Open-circuit in the data link connector (DLC) power supply, power ground or signal ground.
- Open-circuit in the power supply to the ROPS control module.
- Defective Volvo Scan Tool (ST), wiring or adapter.

Note! Check the battery voltage before starting fault-tracing.

Fault symptom[s]
- No communication with the ROPS on-board diagnostic (OBD) system.
