Reading and Erasing Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)

This function can be used to read and erase Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs), counters and frozen values. The Volvo On Board Diagnostic (OBD) system can identify 34 different faults in the form of DTCs.

Diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) must be read off at least once before they can be erased.

When the Transmission Control Module (TCM) detects a fault the values of some parameters are frozen and can be read off together with the DTC.

The following frozen values can be read:

- Oil Temperature
- Vehicle Speed
- Engine Speed RPM
