Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-6110 is stored if the engine control module (ECM) registers a fault in the signal cable from the engine cooling fan (FC) relay.

Possible source

Signal too high:
- short-circuit to supply voltage in the signal cable
- defective engine cooling fan (FC) relay

Signal too low:
- short-circuit to ground in the signal cable
- power supply cable short-circuited to ground
- defective engine cooling fan (FC) relay

Signal missing:
- open-circuit in signal cable
- defective engine cooling fan (FC) relay

Fault symptom[s]
- engine cooling fan (FC) running continuously even when the ignition is switched off
