Diagnostic trouble code information

Condition
Control units communicate with each other over a network via a standardized serial method of communication - CAN (Controller Area Network) - and exchange information. If the engine control module registers a software fault where the software does not correspond to the rest of the car configuration, the engine control module will not communicate with the other units and diagnostic trouble code ECM-E003 is set.

- CAN communication absent
- cruise control turned off
- fuel shut-off according to accelerator pedal position
- closing of the electronic throttle during braking.

- wrong software in engine control module.
- Defective control unit.
