Removing/Installing Control Unit

Preparation

General:

Before replacing the control unit and/or the slide and tilt roof motor, the following components must be removed or disconnected.







Remove:
- A pillar panel.
- Sun shade on the right hand side.
- Both sun shade supports.
- Grab handle or panel on right.

Disconnect:
- Courtesy lighting panel assembly.
- Disconnect headlining plug on the right hand side and lift the lining over the door strip.
- Remove half the edge of the slide and tilt roof opening.

Removing control unit







- Carefully push the lining down and place filler.
- Push the tab in and slide the control unit out of the support towards the motor.
- Disconnect the connectors.
- Remove the control unit.

Install:







- The sun roof must be shut before installing the unit or cables.

NOTE: Close the sun roof from open position, not from tilt position.

- Adjust sun roof control unit. The unit must be adjusted before installation. The two white paint dots must be aligned, rotate wheel (A).
- Place the control unit and connect the connectors.
- Place the control unit over the bracket and secure it.
- Tie up wiring and connector to avoid rattling.
- Check function.
- Place the headlining on its place and fit the plug.
- Install the courtsey lightning.
- Install sun shade supports.
- Install the grab handle.
- Install sun shade right hand side.
- Install A pillar panel.
