Checking Connectors







- Remove interior trim from the tailgate.

- Check VGLA control module connector, the white license plate lighting connector and the handle door lock switch for contact resistance and oxidation, Checking Wiring and Terminals - Permanent Faults

- Ignition on.

- Pull in the tailgate handle.

Read the status for the tailgate handle.

The value should be LOW when the handle is pulled. If the value is OK the cause of the fault has been loose connections in the connectors.

Is the value LOW?

Yes - Test complete

No - Checking For an Open-Circuit
