Checking Hood Switch

- Remove the key from the ignition switch
- Close hood and doors including trunk lid/tailgate, ensure that the driver's door side window is open
- Disconnect the alarm sensors temporarily by pressing LOCK on the inner central locking switch for at least 3 seconds (when the ignition is switched on next the alarm will return to normal function).

Activate alarm by locking car with remote control or with key.
Wait approximately 30 seconds and reach through window and open hood.
The alarm should now go off (the alarm starts to sound and the turn signal lamps flash).
