UUA. Fault Tracing

Condition
No diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) stored.
Apart from this the central locking system works normally.

Possible source
Batteries in remote control not working.
Defective remote control.

Start fault-tracing with UUB.


UUB1. Resetting Remote Control





Ignition off.
Remove key from ignition switch.
Press a button on the remote control three times in five seconds.
The remote control is now reset.
Try to lock the car with the remote control.
Is the car locked?
Yes: Fault not found
No: Go to UUB2


UUB2. Replacing Batteries

Replace batteries in remote control.
Try to lock the car with the remote control.
Is the car locked?
Yes: Fault corrected
No: Fault not found
