Operation CHARM: Car repair manuals for everyone.
Manuals through 2025 now available!

Our trusted friends have launched a new website named LEMON, which has newer manuals. It also contains all the CHARM manuals.

LEMON is the spiritual successor to CHARM, I recommend you try it!

Lumbar Support

Lumbar Support

A creaking noise can come from inside the cover to the lumbar support adjuster. Correct using teflon or felt tape.

If the lumbar support is not under tension it can cause a rattling noise.
The lumbar support adjustment springs inside the backrest can cause a pinging noise when the springs are in contact with each other. Try to separate the springs from each other and insulate with tape.

This applies to the other springs in the backrest frame.
