Restraints and Safety Systems: Service Precautions

Warning: The components in the supplemental restraint system SRS and side air bags SIPS must be handled very carefully during repair. This avoids: 1. Personal injuries occurring during repair work. 2. Damage to or faulty function of the supplemental restraint system SRS/SIPS. Work involving the supplemental restraint system SRS/SIPS or other components in the vehicle that is likely to affect the supplemental restraint system should always be done by an authorized Volvo workshop.
