Operation CHARM: Car repair manuals for everyone.
Manuals through 2025 now available!

Our trusted friends have launched a new website named LEMON, which has newer manuals. It also contains all the CHARM manuals.

LEMON is the spiritual successor to CHARM, I recommend you try it!

Input Signals

Input signals

Emergency mode (Limp-home)
Remarks:
If signal is missing from the atmospheric pressure sensor, the value 90 kPa (130 psi) is used when calculating. This is comparable to an elevation of approx. 1000 metres (0.62 miles). This will lower the boost pressure slightly but will hardly be noticeable.
If a signal is missing from the mass airflow sensor (MAF), the air mass is calculated using the throttle's position and the rpm signal.
If signal is missing from the throttle position sensor (TPS), MAF will take over.
