Transmission fluid, replacing

Note! As the illustrations in this service information are used for different model years and / or models, some variation may occur. However, the essential information in the illustrations is always correct.

Removing splash guards and front wheels




Raise the car.

Remove:
- the splash guard under the engine
- the left front wheel.

Checking the oil level





Draining the transmission fluid
Collect the oil in a container.
Remove the drain plug (1). Drain the oil.
Install the plug with a new gasket. Tighten. See the relevant specifications.
Remove the level plug (2). Fill with oil. Use only Volvo transmission oil P/N 116 1745 (1 liter). Volume in the transmission 2.0 liters.
Install the level plug with a new gasket. Tighten. See the relevant specifications.

Installing splash guards and front wheels

Note! For tightening torques, see applicable specifications.

Install:
- the splash guard under the engine. Tighten
- the wheel. See Installing wheels Service and Repair.
