Removal and Replacement

1. Mark position of No. 1 cylinder spark plug wire terminal on distributor body, then remove distributor cap.
2. Rotate crankshaft until No. 1 cylinder is at TDC of compression stroke and rotor contact is aligned with No. 1 cylinder spark plug wire terminal.
3. Disconnect battery ground cable.
4. Loosen distributor hold-down bolt.
5. Label, then disconnect electrical connectors and vacuum hoses from distributor.
6. Remove distributor from engine.
7. Reverse procedure to install.
