No Load Test

1. Mount starter on suitable bench tester.
2. Move starter away from tester ring gear to prevent pinion from engagement.
3. Supply 12 volts to starter terminals.
4. Current draw should not exceed 30-40 amps, with voltage of 11.2-11.5 volts.
5. Correct starter speed is 6500-7500 RPM.
