Cooling System - Bleeding Procedure

1. Close radiator drain.
2. Install cylinder block drain plugs.

Cooling System Bleed Screw Location (Typical):




3. Attach one end of a 0.250 inch ID clear hose that is 48 inches long to bleed screw on thermostat housing.
4. Route hose away from accessory drive belts and cooling fan and place into a clean suitable container.
5. Open bleed screw.
6. Slowly fill coolant pressure bottle until a steady stream of coolant flows from hose.
7. Gently squeeze upper radiator hose until all air is removed from system.
8. Close bleed valve and continue filling to top of coolant pressure bottle.
9. Install cap on coolant pressure bottle remove hose from bleed screw.
