Removal





HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING: CONDENSER: REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION

NOTICE:
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal notices before proceeding with work Service Precautions.

2. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM Service and Repair

3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

4. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY

Removal

5. REMOVE BATTERY (for 2GR-FE) Removal

6. REMOVE INLET AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY (for 2AR-FE) Removal

7. REMOVE INLET NO. 2 AIR CLEANER (for 2GR-FE) Removal

8. REMOVE INLET NO. 1 AIR CLEANER (for 2GR-FE) Removal

9. REMOVE RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY (for 2AR-FE) Removal

10. REMOVE RADIATOR RESERVE TANK ASSEMBLY (for 2GR-FE) Removal

11. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY Removal

12. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT (for 2AR-FE) Removal

13. REMOVE UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT (for 2GR-FE) Removal

14. REMOVE RADIATOR SIDE DEFLECTOR LH

(a) Disengage the 3 claws and guide remove the radiator side deflector LH.





15. REMOVE RADIATOR SIDE DEFLECTOR RH

(a) Disengage the 3 claws and guide remove the radiator side deflector RH.





16. DISCONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE (for TMMK Made)

(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose from the condenser.





(b) Remove the O-ring from the No. 1 cooler refrigerant discharge hose.

NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

17. DISCONNECT DISCHARGE TUBE (for SIA Made)

(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the discharge tube from the condenser.





(b) Remove the O-ring from the discharge tube.

NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

18. DISCONNECT AIR CONDITIONING TUBE AND ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly from the condenser.





(b) Remove the O-ring from the air conditioning tube and accessory assembly.

NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

19. REMOVE COOLER CONDENSER ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 4 bolts.





(b) Disengage the 2 guides and remove the cooler condenser assembly as shown in the illustration.
