Removal





HEATING / AIR CONDITIONING: CONDENSER: REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION

NOTICE:
After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work Service Precautions.

2. RECOVER REFRIGERANT FROM AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM Service and Repair

3. REMOVE DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY Removal

4. REMOVE NO. 1 DECK BOARD Removal

5. REMOVE NO. 2 DECK BOARD Removal

6. REMOVE REAR DECK FLOOR BOX Removal

7. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX RH Removal

8. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM AUXILIARY BATTERY NEGATIVE TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Repair Instruction - Initialization.

9. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY

Removal

10. REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System) Removal

11. REMOVE NO. 1 MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR BRACKET (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)

(a) Remove the 2 bolts.





(b) Disengage the 2 guides and remove the No. 1 millimeter wave radar sensor bracket.

12. REMOVE NO. 1 INVERTER BRACKET Removal

13. DISCONNECT NO. 1 COOLER REFRIGERANT DISCHARGE HOSE

(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the No. 1 cooler discharge hose.





(b) Remove the O-ring from the No. 1 cooler discharge hose.

NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

14. DISCONNECT AIR CONDITIONER TUBE AND ACCESSORY ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the bolt and disconnect the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly.





(b) Remove the O-ring from the air conditioner tube and accessory assembly.

NOTICE:
Seal the openings of the disconnected parts using vinyl tape to prevent entry of moisture and foreign matter.

15. DISCONNECT NO. 5 INVERTER COOLING HOSE

(a) Using pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to disconnect the No. 5 inverter cooling hose.





NOTICE:
* After disconnecting the No. 5 inverter cooling hose, immediately seal the openings of the hose and the condenser assembly with receiver and hybrid radiator assembly using vinyl tape to prevent entry of foreign matter.
* Do not apply excessive force to the No. 5 inverter cooling hose.
* Prepare a drain pan or cloth in case the coolant leaks.

16. DISCONNECT NO. 1 INVERTER COOLING HOSE

(a) Using pliers, grip the claws of the clip and slide the clip to disconnect the No. 1 inverter cooling hose.





NOTICE:
* After disconnecting the No. 1 inverter cooling hose, immediately seal the openings of the hose and the condenser assembly with receiver and hybrid radiator assembly using vinyl tape to prevent entry of foreign matter.
* Do not apply excessive force to the No. 1 inverter cooling hose.
* Prepare a drain pan or cloth in case the coolant leaks.

17. REMOVE HOOD LOCK SUPPORT SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

18. REMOVE NO. 2 FAN SHROUD Removal

19. REMOVE CONDENSER ASSEMBLY WITH RECEIVER

(a) Disengage the 2 guides and remove the condenser assembly with receiver and hybrid radiator assembly as shown in the illustration.





(b) Remove the 4 bolts and hybrid radiator assembly from the condenser assembly with receiver.
