Emissions Maintenance Light: Service and Repair

Every 30,000 miles, a reminder light in the instrument cluster will come on indicating that the emissions system should be checked out, and the oxygen sensor replaced.

To reset the mileage counter, trace the speedometer cable to the reset box and push the button marked "OXS." The reset mechanism should make an audible 'clunk', and the dash light should go out.

EGR Indicator Light
Turn off "EGR" indicator light by pressing white button on elapsed mileage counter. Elapsed mileage counter is located on firewall behind instrument cluster, Fig. 1.
