Cold Start Valve-Checking


COLD START VALVE - CHECKING





Remove cold start valve from intake manifold.
Hold valve in container. leaving fuel line connected.
Connect jumper wire from one terminal of cold start valve to ignition coil terminal No.15.
Connect second jumper wire from other cold start valve terminal to ground.
Run pump, see Fuel Pump Relay.
Turn ignition on and check cold start valve nozzle for steady, cone-shaped spray pattern.
Turn ignition off (pump still running).
Wipe nozzle dry with clean rag to check for leakage: no drops should form within one minute.
