Idle Speed

1. First ensure that the following are correct:
a. Throttle plate stop adjustment*
b. Ignition timing
c. Engine is at operating temp.
d. All hoses are properly connected.
e. Idle stabilizer plugs are connected together (black box on top if ignition control unit).
2. To adjust the idle speed, turn the recessed air bypass screw in the throttle housing.
3. Adjust idle speed to 880 - 1000 rpm
4. Reconnect plugs to idle stabilizer.

*Do not use the throttle stop to adjust the idle speed. See "Throttle Plate" section for adjustment procedure.
