Fuel Pressure: Service Precautions

1. When working on the fuel system, always follow strict rules of cleanliness to prevent contamination of the fuel system.
2. Thoroughly clean all fuel line connections, and surrounding area before disconnecting.
3. Place fuel injection parts removed from system on a clean surface. If parts are to be left out for any length of time, cover with clean paper or plastic. Do not use cloths that could drop lint or trapped debris on parts.
4. Install only parts that are completely clean.
5. Don't unpack replacement parts until just before installation.
6. Do not use parts that have been sitting out in the open.
7. When fuel system is open, avoid blowing dirt or dust around with compressed air.
