Coolant Line/Hose: Service and Repair






NOTES:
^ The intake manifold must first be removed in order to remove the coolant pipes.
^ Always replace gaskets and seals.

1 Large coolant pipe
2 Bleed screw
- 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.)
- Filling system
3 Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor
- 15 Nm (11 ft. lbs.)
- Checking. Refer to Repair Group 01
4 Bolt coolant pipe brackets
- Tighten to: 10 Nm (7 ft. lbs.)
5 Small coolant pipe
6 Bolt intake manifold
- Tighten to: 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.)
7 Electronic ECT thermal switch
- Checking. Refer to Electrical Equipment
- Newer electronic version with 3 terminals replaces 4-terminal version; no change to wiring harness or connector required
8 Bolt Coolant pipe to cylinder head
- Tighten to: 10 Nm (7 ft. lbs.)
