Torque Converter: Service and Repair
TORQUE CONVERTER, DRAINING -
If the ATF has become contaminated by clutch or brake friction material, or if the transmission is being completely overhauled, the torque converter should be drained as follows:
Use VAG 1358 A and VAG 1358 A/1 probe, or EZ1 fluid evacuator, to remove ATF from torque converter by suction.
